eBay to ban the sale of electric bikes by private sellers

Ebay today announced that is banning the sale of e-bikes by private sellers at the end of this month. This has come in response in the huge increase in the number of e-bike battery fires and calls for the Government to take action. E-bikes are not inherently dangerous and we welcome this move. iCycle and Lancaster University nominated for Green Gown Award

An 'upcycling' bike hire scheme operated by iCycle in partnership with the Lancaster University has been shortlisted for a prestiguous Green Gown Award. Now in their twentieth year, the Green Gown Awards recognise sustainability excellence being carried out by colleges and universities. iCycle started life as Cycles Recycled, a community interest company that restored donated bikes. Grindleton CE Primary geared up for a fun family bike ride Mr Malcom Scott of Grindleton Primary School teamed up with Helen Fairhurst from Love to Ride, local cycling training provider Go Velo and Ian Gibbs from I cycle to create special memories for all the pupils, parents and staff of Grindleton Primary School.
